Las Positas College will schedule an intensive format Regular Basic Course/Academy. Present and past academies are made up of a variety of law enforcement agency recruits. The academy is 1,050 hours in length.
POST CERTIFICATION: 1010-00100 - POST PLAN IV Reimbursable
LOCATION: Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin, CA 94568-3315 [ map ]
COLLEGE CREDITS: 19.25 units earned upon successful completion of academy. 12 additional units may be obtained through an application and examination process, for 31.25 college units.
LODGING: In addition to nearby hotels and restaurants, very comfortable, low cost housing can be arranged at Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area which is located just adjacent to the police academy. POST allows $46 per day subsistence for up to 83 days for the basic academy. Camp Parks rooms rent from $20 to $50 per day [ hotel list ].
