QUESTION: HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE ACADEMY?

Phyically: start a physical training (PT) program immediately. Your program should include, endurance (running) and strength (upper body pull ups and push ups).

Mentally: adopt the study habits of a college student. Embrace and accept the reality that you will be studying law enforcement learning domains for 6 months.

To get an idea of the written test, you may also take a POST practice test at www.post.ca.gov

If time permits, we also recommend you enroll in a  basic english or writing course at a community college.
