DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE SEMINAR

Fee: $100.00

DESCRIPTION: During this 24 hour course, students will develop skills in recognizing, investigating and articulating their observations related to dui enforcement, both in their written reports and verbal courtroom testimony.  Additionally students will be able to successfully identify and discuss typical clues of alcohol impairment that may be seen during the sfst's, and how effective DUI enforcement acts as a deterrent to this violation.  A wet lab will be conducted in order for the students to become proficent in the recognition of Gaze Nystagmus.

INSTRUCTOR(S): Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Hamman is a 13 year veteran of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. He has been a member of the DUI Unit and a leader in DUI arrests for the agency and is a DRE.

Other instructors are also Law Enforcement Officers from Alameda County and are also certified instructors in DUI and SFST.

Various speakers from MADD and the Alameda County District Attorney's Office will be heard.

COURSE FEE: $100.00 ( Please make checks payable to ACSO)  PAYMENT IN FULL IS DUE AT THE DOOR.
