IMPACT WEAPON INSTRUCTOR UPDATE

DESCRIPTION:Â This two day 16-hour course is designed to give certified instructors an opportunity to update their skills and training techniques, and to review pertinent case laws and legislation effecting impact weapons.

PREREQUISITE:Â Must be a full time/reserve peace officer, or correctional officer who has completed a certified impact weapon instructor course. Must be in excellent physical condition and free of any prior injuries that may be aggravated by intensive physical training. All students must also sign a liability waiver when attending any manipulative skills training courses conducted at the Regional Training Center.
PRESENTATION HOURS:Â This is a two day 16-hour community college course (0800-1700 each day) for credit.
CERTIFICATION:Â POST Plan II & STC Certified.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:Â Students are required to wear suitable workout clothing during class, and supply their own gun belt, handgun, handcuffs and impact weapons.
RESERVATIONS:Â This course is limited to 30 students and reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis. LOCATION: The course will be conducted at the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin, CA.
