IMPACT WEAPONS INSTRUCTOR COURSE
Fee: $400.00
DESCRIPTION:Â The instructor trainee will be certified to train officers in the side-handled baton, corded double baton, straight baton, long baton, short baton, yawara stick, expandable baton, and personal body weapons. The course takes the trainee through pre-course documentation, legal aspects and case law, course development and design, POST-course documentation, and court preparation. The instructor trainee is taken step by step through each strike and targeting technique in static and full contact format to meet instructor level expertise.

PREREQUISITE:Â Must be a full time/reserve peace officer, or correctional officer. Must be in excellent physical condition and free of any prior injuries that may be aggravated by intensive physical training. All students must also sign a liability waiver when attending any manipulative skills training courses conducted at the Regional Training Center.

PRESENTATION HOURS:Â 0800-1700 each day.
CERTIFICATION: Â POST Plan II & STC Certified.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Â Students are required to wear suitable workout clothing during class, and supply their own gun belt, handgun, handcuffs and impact weapons.
RESERVATIONS: Â This course is limited to 30 students and reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis. LOCATION: The course will be conducted at the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin, CA.
