The Alameda County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) is a full service law enforcement agency. Currently, the office has over 1500 employees, both sworn and professional staff. The ACSO is organized into five divisions. Each division has responsibility for different public protection functions. The ACSO has numerous different work locations spread throughout the county.
The Sheriff's Administration is comprised of:

- Internal Affairs
This unit is responsible for initiating, investigating and concluding investigations of alleged personnel misconduct in a timely and expedient manner, based on complaints made internally or externally.

The Unit is comprised of a Captain, two Sergeants, two Deputy Sheriffs, and one Secretary II. The Captain of IA reports directly to the Sheriff and ensures that the Sheriff is fully briefed on all complaints and investigations. |

Dublin Police Services is a contract service of the Sheriff's Office, which is committed to the provision of quality and professional law enforcement services to the City of Dublin. Police services provided by Sheriff's personnel include uniformed police officers in marked police vehicles, criminal investigations, crime prevention, Drug Prevention Education Program, and special investigation officers responsible for narcotic and vice suppression.
Dublin Police also enforce city ordinances and state laws within the limits of the City of Dublin. Dublin Police personnel are committed to protect and serve the Dublin community through fair and consistent application of the law.
