Shortly after midnight, on Sunday, 09/16/12, Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Ashland Village Apartment complex, in unincorporated San Leandro, regarding a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Sheriff's Deputies discovered a 25-year-old male inside his apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. During the course of the subsequent investigation, Detectives identified 18-year-old Hugo Viveros as one of two suspects involved in the murder.  Investigators have obtained a no bail arrest warrant for Viveros in connection with the murder.  Viveros is believed to have fled to Mexico where he has family, but he still has immediate family members living in the San Leandro area.

Alameda County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Via Amigos and Via Milos in San Lorenzo. Upon arrival, deputies found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Fernando Lopez (24 years old) and Sergio Franco (22 years old) were both pronounced dead. A sixteen year old male was also shot in the leg and was treated and released. Jose "Baby" Hernandez has been named and identified as the shooter. Jose "Baby" Hernandez is considered armed and extremely dangerous. This agency currently holds a "No Bail" warrant for two counts of murder on Hernandez.

Hernandez is believed to have fled to Mexico where he has family, but he still has extended family members living in San Joaquin County.

Miguel Angel Nunez Castaneda is wanted for the murder of Yesenia Nungaray, 16 years old, from Yahualica Mexico.

On May 2, 2003, Alameda County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a body in a garbage bag located behind Carrow's Restaurant in Castro Valley. Miguel Angel Nunez Castaneda worked at Carrow's restaurant where Yesenia was found. Through the investigation it has been determined that Miguel is responsible for Yesenia's death.

Miguel is believed to be hiding in Mexico. There is both State and Federal arrest warrants issued for Miquel's arrest for the murder of Yesenia.

Yesenia had come to the United States on her sixteenth birthday in hopes for a better life.

On Sunday November 9, 2003, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding suspicious circumstances at Simms Park, 7001 Niles Canyon Road in Sunol. Upon arrival the body of Reyes Sanchez Carbajal (32 Years old) was found dead along the creek area of Simms Park.

On May 15, 2006, the Cold Case Unit obtained two "No Bail" warrants for the murder of Reyes Carbajal. These two murder arrest warrants are for two brothers, Nicasio Carbajal Leon and Felipe Carbajal Leon. Detectives learned the Leon brothers killed their cousin, Reyes Carbaja, after a family dispute.  the Leon brothers are believed to have fled to Mexico.

On Friday, February 14, 2003, Jose Luis Barita-Lujan was shot and killed on Medford Avenue, in unincorporated Hayward. Witnesses identified the shooter as Patricio Pena, and he fled the scene driving a dark colored 1985 Ford Bronco.  The Ford Bronco was later recovered by police in the Los Angeles area. Pena is believed to have fled to Mexico, his country of origin.
