Any person entering Santa Rita Jail for the purpose of visiting an inmate shall be subject to all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Any person violating a law, rule or regulation while visiting shall be subject to warning, termination of their visit, or suspension. 

  • Any visitor who has been confined in the Alameda County Jail System within the last six (6) months cannot visit an inmate without prior written or verbal authorization from the Commanding Officer or his/her designee.
  • Any visitor having been previously convicted of a felony involving violence or bringing contraband into a jail will not be allowed to visit without written permission of the Commanding Officer.
  • Any visitor having been convicted of a non-violent felony in the last three (3) years will not be allowed to visit without written permission from the Commanding Officer. 
  • Any visitor having been previously convicted of a felony and confined in a state prison in California will not be allowed to visit without written permission from the Commanding Officer.
  • Any visitor having previously been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor and currently on county probation or parole will not be allowed to visit without written permission of the Commanding Officer.

 


Warning

All persons entering or leaving jail property are subject to search for contraband. Entry, is a consent to search.

No photographs may be taken on jail property without first obtaining permission from the facility Commanding Officer. Unauthorized photographs will be confiscated.

Possession of firearms, narcotics, drugs, or alcohol is a felony on jail property.

VIOLATORS WILL BE ARRESTED.
